Stephen Spoonamore is the Chief Executive Officer at ABSMaterials, Inc. He has led several previous companies from start-up to exit, taking numerous technologies from bench-scale R+D to commercialization. Technologies developed by Mr. Spoonamore are used daily by government and private sector clients in mining, shipping, banking, advanced materials, military operations, and cellular communications. While he focuses on advanced materials and environmental remediation today, he remains a respected and oft-cited veteran from the early days of the cyber warfare, offering insights to NPR, BBC, CNN, and ABC News. Chris Schmid is a business advisor for international business development and marketing services, economic development, and entrepreneurial support. He is the past president of Wooster Hydrostatics, Inc., Tekfor USA, and LuK, Inc. He is also the past chair of the Wayne Economic Development Council. He is a board member of the Wooster Growth Corporation, NorTech, the College of Wooster Center for Entrepreneurship, Bloomington Medical Services of Wooster Community Hospital, and the Don & Alice Noble Foundation, as well as an advisory board member of WKSU Kent State University Public Radio. He has a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Stuttgart, and he is fluent in German and English. His interests include racewalking and skiing. Judith Herschell is the president of Hershcell Environmental. She has over two decades of experience working in advanced water treatment and engineered systems, with a particular emphasis on membrane filtration. As a skilled commercial and general manager, she has been a key component in the success of several high-technology companies. She earned a BS in Psychology and a BS in Biology from Geneva University, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a MS from California University of Pennsylvania. Kristian Lier is an Investment Manager for Energy Ventures, an independent venture capital firm focused on upstream oil and gas. He is also an experienced financial analyst and adviser with a background in offshore engineering. In addition to sitting on the Board of Directors for PWA, he serves on the boards of high-technology firms Wireless Seismic, Inc., which produces seismic data recording systems, and Reality Mobile, a global communications firm. He received his Master's of Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Lief André Skare is an Investment Manager for Energy Ventures, as well as an experienced manager with a background in manufacturing and financial analysis. He serves on the boards of PanGeo Subsea Inc., which creates 3D and 4D subsea acoustic imaging; Deepflex Inc, a subsea oil and gas pipe manufacturer; and Reality Mobile, a global communications firm. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School's Executive Education program and obtained his Master's of Science in Production Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology. |
